My Experience at the Elle Spa and Salon

by - 5/01/2018

What is a better way to unwind and destress oneself than a spa? The answer is NONE. Although a slight condition applies that the Spa should be good enough. I must admit that I am not very regular at pampering myself as I hardly get the time to do so. However I have always been to five star hotel spas....the ones in which I have stayed. So when the luxury brand ELLE Spa reached out to me for a Meet and Greet, I was tempted.

The Elle spa is of the same group of the French, Parisian to be precise brand ELLE magazine and fashion brand. So my expectations were quite high from this place. Located in Crowne Plaza, Mayur Vihar Extension, it is quite easily accessible.
I had invited few of my close friends for a small Spa party and we had lots of chatter and laughter over a session of manicure pedicure and coffee.
The place is elegantly put up with thorough professionals running the place. I especially loved the water area near the poolside where one can lounge with friends.
The express pedi was of 15 minutes and was nice. It costed 1000 INR.
Later on, I went for a massage. This was the very first time I went for a full body massage and I loved every moment of it! I went for the energizing massage which uses medium pressure. If you like firm pressure, you should go for the Deep Tissue massage and if you like a light hand, opt for Serene massage. The massage was preceded by hot steam and sauna. I am very skeptical of higher temperatures and hence was apprehensive about entering the steam room. However as soon as I entered, my entire self relaxed within no time! I remember Carrie Bradshaw in SATC that in New York when you don't have men to pamper you, you have Spas for the same! Well I never get time to pamper myself and this was much needed! The wet heat instantly cooled me off!
After 15 mins of steam, I entered the Sauna room which is dry heat. Now I remembered the death in Final Destination .....if you can understand what I mean! Well this too was very relaxing and I was in no mood to come out! Finally I did after 15 minutes.
The massage room was very nicely put with a great bathroom attached. The masseuse used lemon ginger oil for my massage. I opted for a 60 minute session. I just wanted to go back to sleep! Then I opted for a 30 minute foot massage which I badly needed!
After my session got over, I was in no mood to leave the spa. That day I felt that I was pampered to the fullest and I deserved every single moment of it!
