The chill is knocking at our doors and yes winters have arrived. This year this season is going to be more active than usual because last winters had been a total blur. So what you need for the endless list of activities you need a winter wardrobe capsule that would will protect you from the cold in the most stylish way possible, take you from day to night and be the best version of yourselves! So guys here I am rounding up the must have pieces in a capsule wardrobe that you simply can't do without. After searching a lot on the internet, I found a website Ninacloak that has got loads of cute stuff. From a very girly and feminine winter collection to edgy ones, they have everything that you need this season!

1. Sweater Dress: A sweater dress should be owned by all the girls. It's festive when you want it to be and casual when you don't. If you plan to buy only one, I would suggest to go neutrals like black, beige or white. You can wear it with a thermal beneath or a coat over it. It can be easily matched to the surrounding temperature.

2. A long coat: What's even a winter wardrobe without a long coat? The more you have, the better! They can be quite of an investment but definitely it will pay you back more. If you are building a coat wardrobe, I would suggest to start with solid neutral colours like beige and navy blue or black and then proceed to fun colours like pink and green. And don't forget to buy a print in between! For good bargains, you should be on the lookout for womens long winter coats on sale.

3. Knee Length Boots: Long boots scream winter, don't they? Every girl needs them. Whether to layer them over skinny jeans or beneath short tweed skirts over tights, this is a capsule essential.

4.Beanie and gloves: Well you don't want your ears and fingers to freeze right?

5. Warm Tops: You need warm tops to layer beneath coats or to wear them as such during the low chill spells. For an ideal long sleeve tops womens, I would suggest to go for dramatic colours yet solid patterns that would pop outside from beneath a coat.

Did I miss something? I have already stocked up on these. What about you?

There are two types of girls in this world: the dress girl and the trouser girl. Which one are you? Falling under a particular category does not mean that you can't or don't wear the other one. It simply means that you are truly partial towards that particular category and love to drape yourself in that. I am clearly a 'Dress' kind of girl. I think it's very apparent from my online image. However there are reasons for my selection. Firstly I feel that trousers/jeans don't flatter me that much. Being short, I tend to look frumpy. Secondly, I clearly have a wide midriff (thanks to 2 babies and a sedentary lockdown), I am in my worst shape. Last but not the least, dresses are my way of getting primp. Since I wear jeans and trousers for majority of my life (clinic, chores, home etc), dresses signify either partying or holidaying or simply taking a break. And voila, there you go!

As places have started opening up for travel, I have started browsing the internet too for good bargains. I just came across this huge selection of women's dresses online and got hooked! So much variety and such competitive price points! The designs are incredible and I started adding one by one in my cart for our next vacation. Since I consider myself a dress connoisseur, here I am sharing  types of dresses that every girl should have in her wardrobe.

1. Skater Dress: The flounce at the bottom and a fitted waist makes sure that you can never go wrong with this style. Whether you are petite or plus size, this silhouette is bound to look good on you.

2. Bodycon Dress: If you want something that will hug you in all the right places and have a slimming effect, this is your type. A white bodycon dress is an essential in every fashionista's wardrobe. It's the perfect accompaniment to an elegant party, be it official or wedding, casual brunch or a birthday.

3. Little Black Dress: An LBD is a classic. It need not be 'little' it just needs to be fully black. Make sure you have it all styles and silhouettes. You probably look your best in an LBD.

4. Midi dress: If a Maxi dress is not your jam but you want something conservative, then this is your call. One may not like a maxi for so many reasons, too much fabric, not fit for short height etc etc. A midi is absolutely modest yet not too much fabric, does not sweep the floors and shows just the right amount of skin. The best casual dresses are often midis because they are so comfortable and flattering.

5. Asymmetrical dress: The zigzag hemline does all the talking and hence seizes away the attention from the wrong places. Not only the dramatic hemline makes it a special outfit but makes you look pretty and youthful.

So what kind of dress person are you? Or do you prefer trousers? Let me know!

As you already know, Vitamin A is essential for our hair and skin health. It's an antioxidant and helps fight all the free radicals. It assists in promoting and maintaining a healthy dermis and epidermis and hence a healthy scalp. Vitamin A is abundantly found in carrots and hence carrots are beneficial for glowing skin and healthy hair.

Now you must be ordering what are carrot seeds and what is their role in hair health?

Carrots and Carrot seeds: Carrot is a root vegetable with carotenoids, flavonoids, polyacetylenes, vitamins, and minerals, which are highly beneficial for our hair and skin. A wedding is so much more than just the ceremony. It's the most beautiful day in the life of a girl undoubtedly. It's equally important and memorable for the guy as well but a normal girl usually grows up dreaming and designing her perfect wedding. I don't want to sound anti feminist but I am also not that girl who would have got married in jeans and sneakers in front of the judge in a court. Some things are meant to be gorgeous and photographically perfect and they should be treated like that. I am not asking you to go over the top, just pretty to the eyes and visually memorable.

If it comes to the bride's trousseau then it can be quite of a task as wedding is just not walking down the aisle. The dress can be impractically mesmerising but it's the footwear that has to do all the work (literally). From walking down the aisle to giving toasts, standing endlessly for photographs to dancing the night away, it's indeed an ordeal for the feet. The shoes have to be pretty but comfortable too. As the wedding season is here I started doing my research and have found the perfect place to shop all the wedding footwear needs UP2STEP , a one stop website for all things glittery and gorgeous.

For the main wedding ceremony, the white heels have to be impeccable yet practical. You don't want to stumble on the long train of your gown while walking, do you? The kitten heels like these serve the perfect purpose. They are neither too high nor impractical. Look at the beautiful embellishment. How freaking gorgeous is it? I want to get married all over again!

https://up2step.com/pumps-heel/stiletto-heels/white-stilettos

For the sit down dinner, you can don some high heel party heels. You don't have much moving around do it but sit down and pose for photographs in the most regal way. These glitter heels https://up2step.com/featured/sequined-shoes/silver-glitter-heels are the most prized of all the footwear you can imagine. It's sequinned with a pointy high heel, which makes it the ideal Cinderella shoes.

Now for the after party or reception, you are most probably going to wear a shorter dress or a slightly fitted one (less flowy and more practical) which means that your feet are going to be visible throughout. However it's simply unrealistic to wear encrusted sky high heels because a lot of dancing is involved! These are the types of footwear you may want to consider for the reception.

All are Cinderalla like but very practical and comfortable.

So girls who are going to get married, how's your shopping going? How many pairs of footwear are you getting?

The holiday season is here and so is Black Friday. That gives us an enormous chance to shop. But what all do we need in reality? How is this shopping going to change our lives?

No matter how confident we are with ourselves, there IS a need for external validation. I know, the fearless and assured women would dismiss me for blurting this out, but I am representing the majority here. Lest, how do you justify the roaring success of social media platforms that thrive on pompousness and the mushrooming of new such platforms everyday? Well if you ask me, it's not a sin to feel desired. The basic human psychology persuades us to feel wanted and hence look attractive. While looking attractive that very little to do with ideal vital stats or that designer handbag, majority of it comes from feeling good within yourselves. If you want to look attractive, you need to feel attractive first. And here's four simple tips how you can achieve that.

1. Workout regularly. By workout I don't mean anything that involves losing weight. Regular exercising is mandatory for good health and increasing immunity. It makes our heart stronger and the increased blood flow makes our skin glowing. But the best part? Those happy hormones éndorphins' elevate our mood and make us look and feel attractive. Another important motivating factor? Wear cute gymwear. You can buy a few from the myriads of wholesale sportswear. It definitely makes working out more enjoyable. Make sure you take full advantage of the Black Friday sales and stock up on cute gym wear. How cute are these pastel colours? These are super comfortable as it is made of 60% polyester, 35% nylon and 5% spandex. Stretchy yet always maintains shape.

2. You should know what to wear: This a hush hush secret to looking great. If you want to hide that flab in your tummy, say no to light colours and embrace dark ones. Short height? Choose vertical stripes. Avoid contrasts like black and white, red and blue etc.. Heavy rear? Wear longer tops and so on.

3. Make sure you are well groomed. Make sure your nail paint is not chipped and  teeth are sparkling white. Tame your baby hair and flyways with a hair spray and don't forget to regularly trim your hair . Work on your conversational skills and image. What might seem superficial now would boost your confidence and image in the longer run.

4. Hide your tummy flab. We women lust after that bodycon dress but are unable to don it because of a flabby tummy which maybe post childbirth, or surgery, excessive love for rich food or simply body type. Do you want to know a secret? Guess what, body shapers are the solution. This Black Friday, buy at least a couple of cheap shapewear to flatten out any bulges. This one has a  zipper and has an open crotch which means visiting the ladies room is super easy. It has etachable and adjustable straps which makes it convenient to use.

I hope I have been able to motivate you all in some way. I constantly work on myself and try to spread positivity. Let me know your thoughts.

There are two types of girls in this world: One with a teeny tiny bag and the other with a big tote. What is it with women and their purses? A handbag is one of the the most indispensable things for a woman and a topic of curiosity for a man. There are so many memes surrounding a ladies bag. The commonest being calling a handbag equivalent to that of a 'Black Hole' or requiring a GPS for hunting down anything! Well being a girly girl myself I too can't navigate without a bag!
I think I have already expressed my love for purses.  I have a HUGE collection of bags of almost all the types;  totes, satchels, clutches, messenger bags etc etc. From really expensive designer labels to high street ones, I am addicted to buying purses and constantly on the lookout for new websites and brands to buy. Can have too many? Well no. My latest discovery is Baginning.com which is a fabulous place to buy purses at incredible prices.

I almost carry my entire home (in a small version) in my purse. That is why I just need a big bag. From an extra pair of sandals to a book and portable phone charger and snacks, my handbag is kind of a mini world. Even my husband calls it a dungeon as I never seem to find anything which I am digging for at the first attempt!

However I like to carry a small, elegant clutch when dressing up for a party. Though it's too challenging given the fact that I am a mom, I still manage somehow. When you are carrying your infant, you either need to carry a diaper bag or your handbag should double up both as a diaper bag and a purse to hold diapers, wipes, baby food along with all your stuff! A tote is perfect in such cases.
Box clutches look fabulous with party wear

A Bling Box Clutch: Remember that time when celebs from Malaika Arora Khan to Shilpa Shetty to Gauri Khan carried box clutches? Well they are still in vogue. Though too small to hold anything other than your cell phone and credit cards, a fashion closet is incomplete without it.

An embellished purse like this should be reserved for special occasions. Pretty sequin clutches can carry your çard, lipcolour and a tiny sanitiser maybe! Oh our priorities have definitely changed! I keep a pouch of antibacterial wipes I am unbale to fit a sanitiser in my purse. And of course, your phone. It's of the ideal size.

A Fringe bag is an eternal favourite.

A fringe purse is a wardrobe staple in every girl's closet! The fringes have got very little to do with storage space or utility but they add oodles to the glam quotient. Don't you think so? I just love a good fringe bag. More the fringes, better.

Every kind of bag has its own importance. When I am travelling, I prefer roomy ones like totes while when I am going for a party, I prefer compact clutches. During college time I preferred backpacks. So here I am rounding up few of my favourite styles and designs.

I have always loved big backpacks as they are so easy to carry. Whether you are a traveller or a mom, a backpack is what you need! It keeps your hands free for better things to do. This backpack is my favourite.

A striped beach tote is a necessity for a vacation. It should be big enough to carry your swimwear. sunnies , sunscreen and a bottle of water.

What kind of girl are you? Let me know in the comments below!

I just came back from one of the greatest trips of my life. It was short, crisp and bursting with adventure and novel experiences. Guess what where I have been to? Two and a half eventful days spent exploring the unexplored avenues of Gujarat. This itinerary would be particularly helpful for short breaks like that during this Diwali. Because my dear readers, the Indo Pakistan border would particularly be more festive during this season and so would be the exquisitely lit up Sun Temple of Modhera.

We landed in Ahmedabad in the morning and after a quick breakfast in the Double Tree by Hilton, we swept off to our resort in Bajana. After lunch and rest, we set of to Modhera in the Mehsana district to watch the Sun Temple, all lit up at night.

1. The Sun Temple at Modhera, Mehsana district of Gujarat is an exemplary work of intricate architecture. The interiors of the temple are shut for public at 6 PM and then the lights are lit and again open for the public. The light show at Sun Temple is a must do activity.

⛩The Modhera Sun Temple was made by King Bhima I of the Chalukya dynasty in the early 11th century.

⛩It is a temple made to honour the Sun God in Modhera village of Mehsana district on the bank of River Pushpavati.

⛩Modhera finds a mention in the ancient scriptures like Skanda Purana and Brahma Purana. The old texts also refer to Modhera and its surrounding areas as Dharmaranya or the forest of righteousness.

⛩The temple is designed in such a way that during every equinox, the first ray of the rising sun would fall on a diamond placed on the head of the Sun God. This would also light up the shrine with a golden glow.

⛩The Sabha Mandap stands on 52 pillars, signifying the 52 weeks in a year. There are carvings of the sun on the walls to show its unity with air, water, earth and space.

⛩Though it is a Hindu temple, no worship is offered here now.

⛩In 2014, Modhera Sun Temple entered the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

That night we were exhausted from all the travelling and called it a day as we had to go for safari the next day.

2. The Little Rann of Kutch Safari

Things to do in Little Rann of Kutch: Welcome to the Wild Ass Sanctuary. Here you explore the marshland in an open jeep and experience wildlife at its best. The sanctuary is open from 15 October to 15 June as it's the relatively dry season. You can spot a variety of animals: Indian gazelle, black buck, hyena, nilgai, wild boar, wolves, desert fox, etc. The main attraction is the Indian Wild Ass which runs at 70 kmph and is almost endangered. It's a delight for ornithologists as there are three hundred species of birds. The Peregrine Falcon is the fastest member of the animal kingdom (320 kmph). There are Drongos, painted storks, flamingoes, Pelicans, etc. to name a few. You can watch all these members lead their carefree lives in the wild.

Go early in the morning or in the evening to avoid the harsh sun.

After the safari, we came back to our resort in Bajana which was nearby. After breakfast, we left for the Indo Pakistan border at Nadabet.

3. Indo Pakistan border at Nadabet Gujarat:  The International Border between India and Pakistan is made of International Land and Coastal Borders.  We got to experience the life of Border Security Force Jawans deployed across these borders at Nadabet who man these lands and water on foot , jeeps , speedboats and floating BOPs .  These BSF troops battle deadly health challenges while performing their duties ( 24X7 ) on the border with happiness while they are separated from their families .

The Pakistan border is just 150 metres away while you get to experience the international frontier in full patriotic glory.

On the way, you get to see the salt deserts on either side of the road. You should definitely halt there to soak up this landform in full glory. It's 360 degrees of salt marsh and nothing else. A spectacular experience.

The Gujarat Tourism Board has done an incredible job in making this visit an affair to remember. The T point at Nadabet is a half day tour which consists of a museum(highly interactive), art gallery(conceptual art gallery based on the lives of BSF) , experience centre(audio visual) and adventure zone(activities like zip lining, bungee jumping, paint ball, giant swing, etc) .

You are boarded on the special Nadabet bus to visit the Zero point, from where Pakistan is just 150 mtrs away. Get to see the Indian tricolor unhoisted during sunset and the pink colours of the setting sun on the desert.

The way has 8 watch points with different models of warfare weapons like tank, missile etc.

After such an adventurous day, you can recharge yourself at the sprawling food court. The place has been developed on a world class level. This entire extravaganza has opened up to the general public from the 1st of November and it is one patriotic and fun experience to cherish for life.

After a highly eventful day, we left for Ahmedabad from Nadabet and reached the beautiful city at midnight.

4. Heritage Walk Ahmedabad: Ahmedabad, the largest city of Gujarat is a melting pot of cultures.

Situated on the banks of Sabarmati river, it's the first city of India to be declared as UNESCO World Heritage City. The area around Ahmedabad has been inhabited since the 11th century, when it was known as Ashaval.

Ahmedabad Heritage walk let's you witness the amalgamation of different cultures and religions as you take a walk in the narrow bylanes of Old Ahmedabad.

You start at Swami Narayan Mandir and proceed to explore the 'pol' or tiny housing complexes. The wobbly wooden houses are still preserved and inhabited in their full glory. You stop to munch some 'Farsan' or namkeen. You spot people putting ground glass on kite strings and females rolling out thepla and fafra.

Every pol has a different story to tell. The Khara Kuva Ni Pol had a huge salt water well while there are secret tunnel connections between pols. There are parrot holes and bird feeders in every house, emphasising the importance of kindness.

The walk can last from 2 hours to 4 hours, depending how much you want to explore. Start early in the morning to avoid the heat and crowd. Wear comfortable shoes and carry a bottle of water.

The walk ends in Jama Masjid. Females are not allowed inside and neither is photography. In the end, recharge yourself with a soulful authentic Gujarati thali.

5. Gujarati hospitality and food: The local people of Gujarat are extremely sweet and friendly. We had an incredible time in the village resort at Bajana. The food is to die for, particularly if you are fond of farsan or namkeen or have a sweet tooth as the dal and kadhi are sweet (my absolute favourite).

In all, I plan to explore the other parts of Gujarat very soon but if you are short on time, you can adapt this itinerary and pay a visit in 3 days duration. Believe me, this state will wow you in every posiible way.

A big thank you to Gujarat Tourism for organising this trip so perfectly. An unforgettable trip in my books,
