It was our second day and the first morning in Goa. WE woke up at six, but it was dark everywhere. The electricity had gone off and there was no back up at our village resort!! When we removed the curtains, it was dark outside too. Dawn had not cracked in yet. Instead of waiting for light to appear, we rode on our bike and zoomed off to Anjuna beach, which was hardly a five minute ride.

Anjuna beach is a small beach ( as compared to the huge ones like Calangute and Colva) but beautiful nonetheless. The sand there is reddish brown and coarse; contrary to the silvery white sands in rest of Goa. And its USP lies in the huge, uncountable rocks, making it a rough beach. The huge waves splash against the giant rocks and there is water everywhere. If you sit on the beach, your bums are bound to get bruised by the dragging of sea waves on the coarse sand!

Well for beach enthusiasts like us, nothing could stop us from swimming in the sea. We were on a pretty tight schedule; we had to take breakfast and then check out from our resort at 10, go to Calangute ( which was 10 kms from there) and then check in there. In order to run everything smoothly, we should have left the sea on time. But we kept on locating beautiful spots and went hunting after them. We walked and climbed, climbed and walked. As soon as we would take pictures, we would spot a nicer place and would go after it. Rock climbing is a tedious process, that too within wild grasses. Anyways suddenly the watch caught our eyes and we were terribly late. But there was no short cut. We had to cross the rocks and tall grasses the very way we did it earlier!

After a tiring hike, we gorged on breakfast. It was a sea view restaurant and was wonderful. We wrapped up everything as quickly as possible, as it was a long day ahead!!

After a strenuous hike to the Chapora fort here, we needed to recharge our batteries. It wasn't that we were suffering from jet lag or something but exhausting ourselves on the very first day was not a wise thing to do. We required food and some sleep. But sleep at seven would mean calling it a day right there. So we were not venturing into that territory.

There was no sign of food in that deserted, rocky area of Chapora Fort. We descended the winding roads and went straight to Vagator beach. Nowadays there is a strict rule that no one can swim after six in the evening. I am pretty sure that there are rule breakers but we did not want to be one of them..at least on the first day. ( We did swim in the dark later on in our trip :p)

Vagator beach was a quiet place..very unlikely of North Goa. We had coconut water and some snacks. We wanted to have dinner at a nice place and then proceeded towards Anjuna Beach.
Anjuna was quite active that time. We went pub hopping and dancing at most of the places. For dinner I had fresh sea food ( scrumptious grilled pompfret) and poor vegetarian hubs had Rajasthani thali.

After desserts and shopping, we went back to our hotel. The ambiance of our village resort was pretty romantic at that time. People were drinking at the poolside and soft music was playing. We took out our tripod and started taking silly pictures of ourselves. We also made friends with a bunch of Mumbai guys who were here for a bachelor party.

The sky was beautifully starlit. In Delhi its difficult star gazing because of so much pollution. Relaxing on the poolside lounger below the stars amidst the nature, it was the perfect conclusion to the first day of our trip.

After a strenous hike to the Chapora Fort, we gorged on the delicious food....

After hopping all over Anjuna at night, finally time to relax at our resort. It was half past one that time!!

when you click through  tripod, you can take as many silly pictures as you like !! It was so late that the pool lights went off!!

Back in July 2014, a Taiwanese multinational computer and electronics company, ASUS launched its mobile phones in India. They named it Zenfone with the tagline ' In search of the incredible'. Not only that, they got heartthrob Arjun kapoor to launch it! There were a series of phones with sleek design and amazing interface and functions. I had been tempted to try it but since I had recently purchased an expensive smartphone, I could not. So when I got the oppurtunity to use the ASUS Zenfone 5 for a week, my joy knew no bounds. I can't wait to share the details of my experience! This is technically the first tech review for me so cheers to new things!!

I am an Android user since long and Zenfone 5 is a fabulous Android smartphone. It is powered with Android v 4.3 (Jelly bean) which is upgradable to v 4.4 KitKat OS. It is such a sleek phone! I got it in white and loved the 5inch IPS display with 1280*780 p resolution. Here is to how it helped me to spend a great at work!

My typical workday usually starts at 7 in the morning ( if I don't have to drop my daughter at my mom's) otherwise earlier! The first thing I do after waking up is I check my to do list, emails and blogger dashboard.

With my Zenfone5 I can do it in the comfort of the warmth of my bed. My Zenfone has 1.6 Ghz Intel dual core processor and power vr GPU with a 2 GB RAM which makes multitasking very easy. Google Chrome runs really fast and so I don't have any excuse to linger in my bed.

After a quick trip to the kitchen for breakfast and lunch packing, I get ready. Often I consult my smartphone for quick recipes but today I was running late. So after a quick shower, I left for the hospital in helter skelter.

Me at my chamber in the Out Patient Department. My Dual Sim Zenfone 5 helps to separate my work from my personal life.

My day at the hospital started with OPD consultation. I usually have to give my phone number to my patients so I need a Dual sim phone. My Zenfone very easily handles two GSM sims without having to carry two phones. This is how I separate my personal life from work. Also it provides excellent signal reception, thanks to its advanced antenna design. I could talk smoothly in elevators and basement too.

My Zenfone 5 helps me take excellent pictures of the MRI and X Ray films.

I usually take pictures of the MRI and Xray films of my patients. It helps me to document my work and keep a tab of their progress. For that I need a camera with excellent clarity. Usually I carry my digital camera but today I did not. I had my Zenfone5 with me.

One of the best features of the Zenfone 5 is its 8MP rear camera. It's infused with ASUS's unique Pixelmaster technology which combines five brightness enhancing lenses to achieve perfect photos. It takes superb pictures in low light too!! I took sharp quality images of the MRI and Xray films.

My Zenfone 5 acts as a remote and I control my PC with it for a flawless presentation.

Today in the afternoon I had a presentation. My Zenphone helped me in that too. I used it as a remote to change the slides. With its Zen link, it helps to connect my phone with my laptop. The Remote link helps my phone to become a remote control! I could control my laptop with my Zenfone's touchscreen and deliver presentations like Past master! Cheers to Zenfone5 for a seamless presentation.

Often I have to take calls during wound dressing and the nurse holds the phone to my ear. Most of the time the phone slips or gets scratches due to man handling. The thing which which I loved most about my Zenfone5 is its impressive touch responsiveness with a response time of 60ms.  Also it has an antifingerprint coating to prevent smudges. Its so sensitive that I can used wearing gloves!! I no more need someone else to hold my phone when I am wearing one! Also its Corning Gorilla Glass3 protects it from scratches and accidental screen damages.

After a hectic day at the hospital I love to unwind through blogging and net surfing. I am often too tired to switch on my laptop and hence do it on my phone. The ZenUI is exclusively designed to meet my needs. I can multitask seamlessly without any lags.

Updating my INSTAGRAM and Facebook Page....my favourite pastime...

My typical activities include upating my social media like facebook page and Instagram ( my favourite app). One time I am doing this and then suddenly I am checking my mail and then my blogger dashboard. The blogs which I read everyday have impressive visual clarity, beautiful colours and quality pictures, thanks to ASUS TruVivid technology.

Heavy web pages can be browsed effortlessly and I am able to multitask absolutely flawlessly. My zenfone operates as fast as my laptop! Moreover with its Pixelmaster photographs, I am now updating my Instagram more frequently with my daily knicknacks.

Checking my Email, what's  next and to do list, reading my favourite blogs through Bloglovin App and of course checking out tomorrow's climate ....all in the comfort of my bed.
Just before lying down I check my to do list, whats next and tomorrow's weather.  It helps me to schedule my day by prioritising my tasks. I simply loved this feature. Also the climate on the homescreen and the weather predictions help me to plan my outfit for the next day. If its too cold outside, the hospital is going to be very warm so I need to dress light. There is no provision for keeping our coats you see :D

My day ended with listening to FM radio on my Zenfone till I doze off. The ASUS Golden ear team has done a great job with the SonicMaster technology to deliver an incredible sound experience!

Here's to a fruitfulday thanks to my Zenfone5!

I was super excited when the package arrived and the Zenfone lived up more than my expectations.

More of my incredible experiences with my Zenphone5 coming soon!! Stay tuned!!

Happpy Valentine's Day loves! I am a die hard romantic person so I love this day. But somehow my lover does not believe in celebrating this day! According to him love should be round the year, round the clock...not to be restricted to a day. Do I smell stinginess behind this philosophical attitude? ;)
So today instead of squandering on silly stuff, I decide to write something about the man I love...or more essentially, the man behind this blog..which is more important? ;) We had already splurged on our anniversary vacation a couple of days back so for today its going to be just a nice dinner and a gift ( of course from my side)

So where did I meet him?
In his hospital... He is much senior to me and he tried to boss me around before he fell for me.

How long do I know him?
We dated for about nine months before we got married. That makes around five years now.

What does he do?
He is an orthopedic surgeon professionally. By passion, he is a cricketer all the way. Loves to surf the net, watch television, eat and mess up our perfectly spic and span home.

What would I want to change in him??
Well probably everything!! he he :D Speaking of this, a joke comes to my mind. Every girl wants her husband to change after marriage. And thereafter she complains that he does not love her anymore; he has changed!! The only thing I would love him to retain is his ability to tolerate me!

Last but not the least...how is he the man behind the blog?
Well, he is the most important part...my photographer! I have been fond of being in front of the lenses since my childhood. Before marriage, my mom loved clicking me. But of course roles got switched after marriage. I love his patience and his efforts for perfection!

Well enough spilling of beans and jokes for the day. He is going to get mad if I profess publicly that if there is anything I want from him, its going to be a bit more neatness and less messiness from him!!

Hope you all have a fabulous Valentine's Day!!

I am sick of this picture. Styled and shot by me on the Pacific ocean, I have had enough of this one. This is his favourite picture of himself and is probably his profile picture of hundreds of his accounts on the internet.

The following couple of pictures are few of my favourites from our entire gamut of collections. No particular reason as such; I was overwhelmed by the grandiosity of this fort palace.

The beginning of a royal stay...

Hope you all have a mushy V day!! I will try to cajole my stubborn hubs( but loyal photographer) to start celebrating this day!!

Four years ago, on this very day, the inevitable happened. Two crazy, 180 degrees different, poles apart people decided to spend the rest of their lives together. Actually the decision had come long back; around ten months before. But on this very day, they made it legal and official. Yes, its our wedding anniversary. Its four years already!!

Like every year, we decided to go for a small vacation. Actually it used to be a grand one before our daughter was born. Last year it was just a getaway but this year hubs surprised me with a royal trip.

Yes, I am talking about Udaipur, the land of the royals, the place where celebrities from all over the world love to get married or renew their vows. The costliest tourist city of India and the land of the most expensive hotel, the Udaivillas. Till yesterday, the original vacation planner had always been me. But somehow role reversal has taken place. Our Goa trip was also planned by hubs; this impromptu one too. Nice to have him taking all the pain!

Rajasthan has always fascinated me and continues to do so. I have been there a couple of times with my parents, once with my friends and twice with my life partner. Its such a huge state, it is still underexplored in spite of so many visits. Anyways there are going to be a myriad of Rajasthani posts on the blog in the upcoming days!

Today in the morning I surprised hubs with a grey blazer which he had been craving since long. Not that I expected anything material from him; I love to see the poor look on his face nonetheless. He immediately reverted with ' the trip had been my gift to you okay!! ' Ha ha he would never cease to be puerile :D

Today's pictures are from the banks of Lake Pichola, the largest of the city of lakes. We had a hearty dinner overlooking the beautifully lit up city. This is just the beginning of our Udaipur diaries.

Happy February everyone! Can't believe one month is already over! So how did your first month go? Mine really hectic. :( Right now I am really looking forward to February. Its our wedding anniversary month after all and usually we go for a nice vacation. So fingers crossed! My hubby is not big on Valentine's Day so no heart shape chocolates or roses for me :( He believes that love should be professed everyday!! But I surely have plans!! :D

Yesterday was the last day of the irresistible Dubai Shopping Festival for this year. This month long retail extravaganza starts from the first day of the year to the last day of the month of January . As I was sitting in front of my laptop lusting over the last minute deals how I wished I was there.

So I decided to do a quick memoir of my retail session in the Dubai Mall which is in fact the largest in the world with over 1500 brands! Not only that, the fountains there too are the largest in the world. They were created by the same makers of the Bellagio Fountains of Las Vegas but bigger and better. And the cherry on the cake? The tallest building in the world...the Burj Khalifa! I have a thing with the record breaking structures in the world and its my wish to get the list ticked as much as possible. With our Dubai trip, almost ten such Guiness book record holding architectures got ticked and I am so proud! Sadly I was not a blogger when I visited this iconic city. Otherwise I would have had myriads of beautiful captures!

I believe everyone has seen the movie Happy new year? Well I wont get into a debate on its credentials that whether it made sense or not but it surely refreshed my Dubai memories! Here I am signing off with a salute to shopping. " Real girls don't cry, they go shopping!!"

With the most important people in my life in front of the most impressive building in the world...
