PHUKET temple tour...

Phuket is a large island. By large I mean to say that one needs many days to explore it fully. It is quite a strange place(I am going to elaborate later). By and large, whole of Thailand is a strange place. By strange I mean the clash of cultures. At one side whole of Thailand is one of the sleaziest sex capitals of the world. Flesh trade is legal here. Whereas on the other side, it is the land of temples or WATS as it is called in the local language. These wats are epitome of religion and exquisite Thai architecture. And when it comes to visiting these temples, one has to be conservatively dressed. How can religion and sex trade co exist simultaneously??

Well Phuket too is no exception. We were staying in patong, the place of infamous Bangla Street. But Phuket is also known as the city of wats.So on our 1st day of sight seeing we decided to go for a temple tour. It was indeed hard to imagine that a place can be so drastically different between am and pm!!

 TRAVEL TIPS:
1.Dont take a tour bus. It is a sheer waste of time.
2.The best way to explore Phuket is by motorbike. Its cheap, fun and convinient.
3.The sun can be very uncomfortable. Make sure you dab on sunscreen and wear a hat.
