What to wear to a black tie event?
Am I the only one or do you also feel that we pay so much lesser attention to a man's wardrobe? Well I definitely feel so. Look at the apparel market and it's inundated with women's and kids' outfits. When was the last time you bought something formal/expensive for your husband/ brother/ father or any man in your life? With working from home the new norm, even trousers have taken a back seat.
My husband is no different and he has least interest in buying clothes. Partly because I am the 'stylist' of the family; partly because he's at the hospital for more than 15 hours a day wearing his scrub or Operation theatre costume (as people would say). So when a Zoom meeting was organised where it was made mandatory to dress up formally for men, I was on the hunt to find a new suit for him.

Wedding Suits: Tuxedos are so damn sexy! Are not they? I love everything about a tuxedo: whether it's white or black, unconventional powder blue or sage green, I love the luxe it oozes out.

ReplyDeleteMen in india don't get to wear tuxedo and blazers that often due to many reasons like weather, culture and many more. But I personally love wearing blazers at events.

ReplyDeleteIt is a fact that Men and also the fashion industry in general do not pay much attention to Men's fashion ans styling compared to Women. Suits are probably yhe best choice for formal events.
