Georgetown: The most picturesque part of Penang
What if I tell you that you can find all the Instagram worthy spots in an arm's diameter? Well I am exaggerating but the truth is that all the cute spots are densely concentrated and you can't move forward without taking a picture (IYKYK). I am talking about the Georgetown part of Penang island, Malaysia. I have been to many UNESCO World Heritage sites, but this place hit different for me. There may not be ancient history to ponder upon, but the aesthetics is enough to mesmerize us travellers!
Penang, especially its Georgetown part is mostly famous for its street art, which I will get to in a separate post (because that's what it deserves) . But in this post, I would like to throw light on the picture perfect nook and crannies of this little town.
There are a ton of Chinese temples here, which are red and golden and beautiful. Then there are a lot of cafes (very touristy plus the culture of eating out). Every cafe is a masterpiece. Be it a juice bar or a proper eatery, I could spend my entire day taking pictures of every corner.
While the husband refused to pause our walk for my photographic requests, I managed to capture a few, especially where we grabbed a juice and dessert. The aesthetics is so eye catching and so is the flora of the place. I had never seen so huge fiddle leaf fig trees in so many numbers, standing proudly on the front yards of almost all homes.
The homes are an entity in themselves, the details of the decor were on another level. I could spend my entire time freezing these moments, to come back to them and cherish them forever. Have you been to GeorgeTown? Which place that you have visited has had the cutest cafes till date?
