Anyone who has read history would be acquainted with James Cook. Yes he is the famous British navigator and explorer who was a part of the Royal Navy. He made three voyages to the Pacific Ocean and was the first European to establish contact with Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii. So it not a surprise that the Australians were game in bringing his home into their country.
The Cooks cottage is where James Cook lived with his parents in Yorkshire, England. It was built by his parents in 1755. The cottage was brought to Melbourne, Australia in 1934 by Sir Grimwade. The entire house was disintegrated brick by brick and each brick was numbered before packing them into barrels and shipping them to Australia. Hence this is technically the oldest building in the entire Australian continent.
Where is it located?
Fitzroy Gardens. One of the prettiest parts of Melbourne. Once you reach the gardens, You would be amazed as to how vast and green the entire area is; that too in the middle of the city! There are numerous small gardens and the Cook's Cottage is located in midst of the soothing greenery. There are wide roads lined by tall trees and flanked by naturally manicured grass patches.

How to reach: The Melbourne Tram Circle is very well connected to the attractions of the city. The tram drops you right across the road from the Gardens. Visit Yarra Trams for more information on the tram network.
What to do? Well you can laze around for hours or just pay a quick visit for just an hour (if you are on a time crunch) like we did!
The Cooks Cottage has entry fees of 6.7 AUD per person. We of course did not go inside and explored from the exteriors.
You can also dress up in Victorian style inside the cottage and get clicked. That would of course cost you extra.
No matter how quickly you want to wrap up the city tour of Melbourne, make sure to give this place a visit. Firstly because it's rare to see such history in such a modern city like Melbourne. Secondly, it's truly a Victorian cottage (very pretty) which is so rare. Thirdly, the Fitzroy gardens are such an idyllic respite from everyday life.

Have a big day ahead and tired of your bulging stomach? We all have been there. Especially when you are mom, you learn to live with the bulging tummy but whenever there is a celebration or fitting of your favourite outfit, you just cannot seem to hide that bulge and start cursing yourself for not paying enough attention. Well being a mom of two myself, I am far from happy with my body but I have learnt a few tricks that help me look presentable in pictures. So here I am sharing with you.

1. Cut off salt from diet. Whenever you come to know that there is a big day ahead, cut off salt from your diet immediately. Salt causes water retention and this would help shed the water weight. This includes table salt as well as salted foods like namkeen, chips, pickles etc. I swear it would be worth it!

2. Quit carbs at night. I am not asking for a drastic diet shift; just no carbohydrates after 6 PM till the big day. You can load yourself with greens and other veggies to remain full. You would notice a drastic difference in a few days.

3. Switch to liquids at night. If you are ready to take up more pain, quit having solid food after 6 PM. I am not asking you to starve, just don't eat solids. You can have skimmed milk and a protein smoothie/shake or whatever you like. But remember, don't put anything in your mouth after 8 PM.

4. Choose dark colours for your tummy area. Light colours will amplify the bulge more. Black, brown, navy blue, etc will help conceal it. I abused this trick to hide my baby bump.

5. Invest in waist trainers. After trying all the diet and workout tricks, the easiest way to get a flat tummy is through waist trainers. They flatten out any bulge very smoothly and the outfit looks absolutely perfect! Summing up a couple of my favourite trainers:

How to clean these trainers?

> DO NOT wash this fitness kit in your washing machine as it may stretch or damage the fabric.

> DO NOT machine dry or iron Thigh Trimmers, as it may melt the fabric and weaken the neoprene.

As the name suggests (POISON), this latest web series Poison 2 on ZEE5 is a mind boggling thriller about betrayal and revenge. " Revenge is a sweet, pure satisfaction and there is only one way to fulfil it: Poison"

Aftab Shivdasani debuts in the world of OTT entertainment wiyh this dark web series and everyone has done a fantastic job.

Synopsis
Can relationships be actually trusted? Whether be it husband/wife, brother/sister, employer/ long term employee? Lines of faith and loyalty fade in this crime drama. One never really knows who's enemy of whom and what's the motive behind such shocking actions. Because as Aftab (Aditya Rathod) says at one point: At one point  "Badla jitna purana ho jata hai, utna hi zahreela ho jata hai"  You think you know what's happening while a second later, your mind gets confused as to who is the mastermind. I am literally hungry for more such thrill and mystery.

Five years before, a father and son duo plot a mamoth diamond robbery. They get caught finally but the car in which they were being taken, explodes. Neither the diamonds are found nor the father son duo.

Pilot Episode
The first episode is 'Dark Horse'. The unbeatable winning record of Josh team at the Horse Racing Competition is shockingly demolished by Aditya Rathod (played by Aftab) to everyone's dismay and bewilderment. Sara never saw it coming and her ultimate dream is to win the bid at the Race course auction.

Sara Oberoi (Raai Laxmi) is a cutthroat ambitious girl and the owner of Josh group, a prominent group in Goa. She is married to Harsh, who is less ambitious than her but supportive of his wife nonetheless. Josh had been facing financial struggles and their defeat in the Horse race makes their situation all the more pathetic. Ehen they try to find out the source behind their draining funds, all the evidence point towards Oscar, her very own brother. After firing him out from the entire Josh empire, Sara is desperate to rise like a phoenix. However she is still not convinced that Oscar could have done this to her and Josh.

At this juncture Sara and Harsh receive a luscious offer from Aditya which promises to solve all the financial woes of JOSH. The only mission of Sara's life is to own the Racecourse; even it is at the cost of her relationships. She strikes a deal with Aditya's company without even her husband. There is jealousy brewing between the two men (her husband Harsh and their enemy Aditya) but Sara is too ambitious to pay heed to emotions as the Race course is the only thing on her mind.

Oscar, after being humiliated and expelled from Josh, tries to get to the bottom this mystery. All his findings point towards Aditya and definitely accountant Anirudh must also be involved in this. While Oscar tries to find out how and where, an unfathomable occurs. Oscar finds evidences of plotting against his sister and JOSH group in Aditya's home. On the other hand, Aniruddh is murdered coldly by Aditya. Does #RevengeNeverEnds hold true for everything?

Who is this Aditya Rathod and what is the motive behind his hatred and revenge from Sara and Harsh? Drumroll please. Aditya is Jaiveer and he's back!

#Poison2 is a tale of betrayal, hatred, revenge, crime and thrill. Definitely a must watch. Subscribe to ZEE5 Premium if you are hungry for wholesome entertainment.

Other thrillers to watch out for on ZEE5: CODE M, Shorgul, Abhay2, Churails, Hacked and hundreds more.

Is it just me or everyone else is feeling the chill? As November is on the verge of winding down, and so is the level of Mercury. Though Delhi gets pretty warm during daytime; early mornings and nights have become really cold. And that has prompted me to take out my and my husband's winter wardrobe. I want him to start working out, so he needs tactical clothing.

After almost seven months of sundresses and tees and jeans, its finally time to don those chic coats and cozy cardigans. And this time I am concentrating on my better half's wardrobe as he needs a refresh. I have been concentrating on mine for a while now and he needs shopping this year. And I found the perfect website to shop active wear for mean Wayrates . Like every year, I just take out my belongings and make a list as to what all is missing; so that I can buy it on time and be weather ready, fashionably. So this year I decided to stock up on more chic coats (I have an obsession) and more denim and leather jackets, If I need to stock them up, you too should upgrade your wardrobe! I came across  and they seem to have an excellent collection of winterwear. They have shorts, headgear, tactile shoes, sportswear, bag and packs, etc whatever you can think of in activewear.
So here are a few absolute great active wear for men:

Pants: Not only I love this camo colour but its shape is to die for. I love overcoats for more than one reason: They are not only chic and warm but can be worn over many layers. Its my perfect stylish companion for cold temps.

Sweaters: A hooded sweater is what you need to uplift your mood during the gloomy days. This is a flowy cardigan; not too thick, not too heavy and is perfect for those pleasant Sunday brunches. Find lots of .
Leather Jacket: Can a man do without a leather jacket? You don't need to be a moto cool to wear this. You just need it. I have quite a few myself but I definitely need this tan one for him.
Cotton Jacket: Like a leather jacket, a cotton jacket is a must too. Its warm, but not too warm making it the perfect daytime piece when its not freezing out there! Moreover, you need it for fall and spring too!

Tactical Boots: Winters are definitely incomplete without killer boots! Weather be it the ankle boots or uggs, over the knee type or even snow boots, you need to have more than one pair. Personally I love these camo boots. Get loads of fashionable men shoes online.

So which one of these do you need to buy for your other half? Or you want them all? Let me know!

Traveling can be an amazing experience, but there’s a lot to learn if you’re new to globe-trotting. As you learn, you’ll work out how to save money, have more adventures, stay safe, and have incredible experiences around the world. Try some of these travel tips for the ultimate vacation.

Image

  1. Pack some essentials in your carry-on bag. Luggage going astray is unfortunately not all that rare. Just in case your bag goes missing, pack some essentials in your carry-on bag. A change of underwear, your swimsuit, sunscreen, sunglasses, travel documents, and a change of clothes can be useful to have.

  2. Patience is important. Try not to worry about the things that you can’t control while you’re away. Life is too short (and so are vacations) for you to feel annoyed or stressed. Missed a bus? Never mind, there’ll be another. Take a deep breath and remember you’re there to have fun. Relax and enjoy yourself.

  3. Wake up early to avoid the crowds. Head out early to have busy tourist attractions to yourself and to avoid the large crowds. You can also get fantastic photos, without the crowds, and in the beautiful diffused light of the early morning.

  4. Observe daily life. If you want to get a real feel for a place, a great tip is to spend a few hours sitting outside a cafe on a busy street and watching the world go by. Pay attention to the sounds, sights, and scents of the place you’re staying and really soak it in.

  5. Laugh at yourself. You will look silly sometimes when you travel. You will make mistakes, so you don’t be afraid of screwing up. If you do mess up, learn to laugh at yourself instead of feeling embarrassed about it.

  6. Slow down. Don’t try to cram too much into too short a space of time. You’ll have a much better time if you slow down a little and take the time to explore. You’ll find things to do that aren’t in the guidebook and meet interesting people. None of the best travel experiences happen when you first arrive, so stay in each place for long enough to enjoy yourself.

  7. Take lots of pictures. You might only see these places and people once in your lifetime. Help you to remember these amazing experiences forever by taking lots of pictures. Don’t worry about looking like a tourist taking pictures of everything. Great photos make great souvenirs. Photos don’t cost anything, don’t take up space in your luggage, and are easy to share. Take pictures with you in too, not just postcard shots. If you’re taking pictures of locals, remember to ask permission first. They’re people, not scenery.

  8. Get out of your comfort zone. Challenge yourself to do something that you wouldn’t normally do. If you get used to doing this, you’ll feel less anxiety about doing new things. Go on hikes. Talk to strangers. Eat local cuisine, even if it seems strange to you.

  9. Keep an open mind. While traveling, it’s important to never judge the lifestyles or customs of other people. Don’t be arrogant enough to assume that your way is the only right way. Practice empathy, and put yourself in someone else’s shoes. Embrace different cultures, customs, religions, and interests. Take it as an opportunity to learn about something new, instead of worrying about whether you think something is strange.

  10. Be flexible. Try not to over-plan every moment of your trip. If you really love somewhere, you might want to spend longer there, or maybe you’ll find somewhere you thought you’d spend a week in doesn’t have enough to entertain you for that long. Pick a start and endpoint, and leave room for your plans in the middle to change.

  11. Learn some foreign phrases. There’s no need to try to become fluent in the local language before you travel, but learning a few phrases in local language can improve your experience. Learn how to say hello, goodbye, please, thank you, nice to meet you, excuse me, sorry, and can I take your picture. If you can’t communicate while you travel, it can get frustrating, so a few phrases can go a long way to smooth things over.

  12. Take an extra bank and credit card. Having your cards stolen is horrible, but it doesn’t have to bring your trip to a halt. If your card is frozen, stolen, or eaten by the ATM machine, it’s annoying, but not a trip-ender if you have a spare with you. Pack a second card somewhere separate from your main wallet. This way, if your wallet is lost or stolen, you’ll still have access to money.

  13. Write down the address of your hotel. If you’re using your phone a lot, your battery can die at the worst times. If you didn’t write down the address of your hotel anywhere other than in your phone, you can’t ask for directions or give the address to a taxi driver. Write down the address and phone number somewhere on a piece of paper, just in case.

  14. Pack earplugs and an eye mask. You can drown out crying babies, loud tourists, traffic, and anything else making noise either on your flight or in your hotel when you’re trying to sleep. An eye mask is also useful if you struggle to sleep on the plane when the lights are still on.

  15. Take a scarf or a sarong to keep in your handbag. You can use either of these for all kinds of things, from sun protection, a makeshift towel, an eye mask, to cover up in conservative areas or to visit religious sites, or to wrap up if the plane is cold.

  16. Pack a lock. A small combination local is very handy if you’re staying in a hostel with lockers, or need to secure your bag at any point. You can also use it if you do things like rent bikes while you’re away. Don’t buy one with keys. If you lose the keys, it could be a disaster.

  17. Pack good travel shoes. Most people walk a lot while they travel, especially if you’re on a budget. Invest in a good pair of shoes, that are lightweight and comfortable to walk in for a long time. Sneakers, walking sandals, or hiking boots could be smart, depending on where you’re going and what you’ll be doing.

  18. Use packing cubes. These zippered bags make packing much easier. Keep dirty clothes separate from clean ones. Keep your underwear easy to find. Packing cubes take up a small amount of room but make packing a breeze. Compression bags, which push all the air out can help to give you more room too.

  19. Go on free walking tours. If you’re on a tight budget, a free walking tour is a wonderful way to see the place you’re staying. They can help you to orient yourself somewhere new, note places you’d like to visit again later on your own time, learn about the city, and maybe even meet some interesting people. These tours are free, but remember that your guide will expect a tip at the end.

  20. Eat local food. Try a little of everything you come across, especially if you aren’t sure what it is. As locals for suggestions on what to try. Buy food from street food vendors that have the biggest lines. Street food is a great way to experience local cuisine without having to spend a fortune. There’s nothing wrong with the occasional cheap trip to a McDonald’s, but why travel if you only eat what you do at home.

Our crowning glory is our most prized possession. Whether its male or female, hair is one's greatest weakness. We spend so much time, efforts and money on maintaining our mane. Still we are seldom satisfied. The truth is that beautiful hair depends on so many factors. We do all the things to damage our hair: erratic lifestyle, unhealthy diet, stress, lack of proper hair care and so  on. Being a physician who mainly deals with hair and skin, I handle hundreds of hair patients daily. And the numbers are on the rise!

In this super fast, super busy life, what we need is some magic that can fix our hair without having to compromise our lifestyle. I mean everyday we are into different hairstyles. In the morning a sleek pony or straightened hair for work, dipping hair in chlorinated water during swimming in the evening, again pulling it and straightening it for work the next day, then a completely new hairdo for partying on weekends. Not to mention all the junk food and booze that deteriorates our hair further. Is there a solution for all this? Yes! CIC 3-In-1 Universal Diffuser Collection With adept™ Complex Serum. I have been a curly haired girl throughout my life and I love this concept like anything. It's been 2 weeks now that I have been using it.

What is this concept?
This is a revolutionary concept where the product (i.e the adept serum penetrates deep into the scalp.
Special delivery sponges vaporize your favorite A.d.e.p.t® Complex Serum to penetrate the cuticle of our hair and anchor moisture deep into the cortex as it dries to leave our hair lustrous, manageable and frizz-free. Not like other products which sit on top of the curls only.
What all does it contain?
1 Diffuser bowl with attachments (1 catcher, 1 lifter and air 1 dryer)
1 A.d.e.p.t® Complex Serum 15ml
2 additional heat-resistant sponges

How to use this concept?

This diffuser allows for the gentle drying of curly hair without frizz and prevents over-drying for hair of all textures.
Prepare for use by assembling the diffuser. The ergonomic diffuser base attaches to the end of your dryer. The interchangeable faces attach to the extra-large diffuser bowl.

Inside the base are two clips to insert the included sponges for infusion of the A.d.e.p.t® Complex Serum to add healthy hydration to your style as you dry. Add a few drops of your favorite A.d.e.p.t® Complex Serum (about 5-10 drops) on top of the sponge.

Attach the desired face and gently twist from “lock open” to the “locked closed” position.

Using the catcher – The catcher allows you to scoop up your curls into the drying bowl for easy styling. The ergonomic base helps to coil your curls into the catcher without craning your neck or resorting to contortions. When the hot air from the dryer activates the elixir in the dispersal wicks, it creates a gentle vapor which hydrates deep into the cortex and seals the hair cuticle as you style.

Using the lifter – The lifter attachment helps to lift the roots of long, heavy curls. You can use the attachment to coil curls from the bottom and hold to dry, or you can position the fingers near the roots to lift the base of the curls to add volume. The lifter and the catcher are often used in the same styling session to create and sculpt curls from the roots to the tips.

Using the air dryer – The air dryer face is a little different from the catcher and the lifter in that it doesn’t have the kind of fingers found on most diffusers. Attach the air dryer to add moisture while drying all lengths of hair, and all textures. Use the air dryer face to dry straight hair too! It simulates the effect of air-drying without any styling tool. The gentle air will make every style the best it can be. This feature is a go-to if you desire to boost any of your in-home-treatments.

How can you clean your 3-in-1 universal diffuser collection?

A: You can soak the diffuser in warm water with mild soap. Use a paper towel or sponge to gently clean product residue and build up. Make sure that you remove the inside coils before cleaning.

Now time for a great offer to my loyal readers. You can get 10% on this 3-in-1 universal diffuser collection by applying code DOCDIVATRAVELLER. Click here.

Are you delighted with this new concept of hair styling? Let me know!
