Every girl dreams of a good hair day...everyday!
Which girl does not dream of hair like Rapunzel's? Or which guy does not fantasy a girl who has Rapunzel hair? I bet there is hardly a guy who likes short hair in girls. However we girls have to deal with so many things that keeping long hair may or may not be feasible. First of all, they are tough to grow. Secondly they are even tougher to maintain! Also we girls prefer to change our looks from time to time. If our profession does not permit us to have long hair that does not mean that we can't have our Rapunzel moment! eg a gynecologist has such a busy schedule that she can't afford to maintain long mane. But she definitely can glam up during party time with hair extensions!
I have been a short hair girl since my childhood. My mom used to believe that the time 'wasted' for maintaining long hair should be put into studies. She was absolutely right. But being an avid dancer I always needed long hairstyles. Be it a braid, a long pony or a bun, a dance performance made me nervous because of my hair deficiencies. The accessories which I used in those times were not efficient. I mean I remember using socks for buns, ready made synthetic braids and synthetic ponytails. Not only they looked fake but fixing them was a nightmare for me.
Recently when I was styling a friend with short hair, I wanted long locks for her. I started searching the web for hair extensions when I stumbled across a wonderful site Uniwigs.com . I was stunned by the myriads of bundles they have and how real they look! From ponytails to clip ons to wigs to buns to bangs...you name it , they have it!

For my friend, I chose different hairstyles for her different looks.

1. Short hair wigs

These feature a flexible transparent wire. Ideal for people with short or thinning hair.

Made with 100 % human hair they come in a variety of lengths and textures like curly or straight. Also they are available in a variety of colours. It is very easy to fix!
This look is dreamy with soft waves. Goes beautifully with flowy dresses or gowns.

2. human hair wigs These always look pretty. Made of 100% human hair, you have to take good care of them.

These have a long lifespan and shine. The perfection wig can be parted in any direction with the free part.
This is my go to daytime look. Also I love this hairstyle with workout gear. Not to forget it looks lovely with denims or any kind of no frills look.

3 Hair Toppers: This gives you fuller look instantly. Ideal for people with advanced hair loss. Made with 100% human hair, this gives ultimate fullness with minimum small clips. Perfect for a cocktail attire or any kind of fancy party look. Not to forget  they are available in a variety of colours. They have an adjustable strap too!

As I grew up and joined college, I started growing my hair long. Now I no more need extensions but a little bit of more length and volume is always welcome! Plus there is hardly any need to take care of them.
Whether a ponytail or hair let down, I love to play with my locks!
So what are you waiting for? Go unleash your inner Rapunzel.

A very Happy Holi to all my lovely readers! I hope you had a wonderf)ul celebration! As much as everyone loves the vivid hues of Holi, a part of ourselves equally fear them...they are our skin and hair! Now a lot is advised as to how to protect your skin and hair before drowning them in colours. Because prevention is better than cure. However still we land up as victims because either we are unprepared or the wrath of colours is too much for the measures we took. So here I am with a few Post Holi hair care tips.

The best kept secret to healthy skin and hair (with or without Holi abuse is 'Goat Milk') . Yes, you read it right. And NEUD is here with their latest range of Goat Milk products.

Why Goat milk?

Some dermatologists consider goat milk to be the skin’s superfood. It locks in moisture to hydrate the skin gently. It also helps keep the skin looking like new.
Goat milk is naturally loaded with Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs), which remove age spots, prevent wrinkles, brighten skin complexion, remove dead skin cells and promote generation of new skin cells.

The fat globules in goat milk have small molecular size, which allow AHAs to penetrate the skin deeply to lock skin moisture and keep it baby soft.

1. NEUD Goat Milk Premium Face Wash for Men & Women
How to use:

Wet your face and neck with clean water and apply NEUD Goat Milk Face Wash liberally. Gently massage in a circular motion to work up a rich lather. Rinse off the face wash after a few minutes and pat dry with a towel.

It gives glowing skin by hydrating deeply, prevents infections and is excellent for daily care.

2. NEUD Goat Milk Premium Moisturizing Lotion for Men & Women
How to use:
Wash affected skin area on face or body, preferably with NEUD Goat Milk Face Wash. Apply NEUD Goat Milk Moisturizing Lotion liberally. Massage gently with upward strokes. Apply 15 minutes before any make-up.

The lotion prevents dryness and keeps skin baby soft. It also prevents infections and the vitamins present in goat milk prevents and reduces wrinkling of skin. Also it brightens complexion.

3. NEUD Premium Goat Milk Shampoo for Men & Women
Apply NEUD Goat Milk Premium Shampoo liberally on your wet scalp and hair. Massage it gently for a few minutes to create a luxurious, foaming lather. Rinse with water after a few minutes till the shampoo is completely washed off. For best results, follow with NEUD Goat Milk Premium Hair Conditioner.

Benefits:
Goat Milk helps get healthy, bouncy and lustrous hair due to the goodness of AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) present in NEUD Goat Milk Premium Shampoo.

Nourishes your scalp and hair strands with Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B6, C, D and E, as well as minerals like potassium, magnesium and selenium naturally present in goat milk.

Makes your hair soft and manageable by moisturizing your scalp deeply.

Enhances bioavailability of nutrients to your scalp and hair strands due to the tiny size of fat globules in goat milk that penetrate skin layers easily.

Goat milk helps maintains natural pH-balance of your hair, enriches them and helps prevent breakage and infections.

4. NEUD Goat Milk Premium Hair Conditioner for Men & Women
Liberally apply NEUD Goat Milk Conditioner to the tips and length of your hair after each shampoo. Leave on for a few minutes and rinse it thoroughly with water. For best results, use NEUD Goat Milk Shampoo before using NEUD Goat Milk Hair Conditioner.

Makes hair voluminous y deep nourishment, prevents scalp infections and strengthens hair.
Oil well afterwards before washing your hair. You can use the homemade hair mask till your hair achieves the softness. Your hair may even turn out better what you had pre Holi form all this TLC!

Precautions:
All these are for external application only. Do not ingest and keep away from children.

Some general post Holi care tips:
  • If your hair is with just dry colours or gulaal, then first brush them off with a napkin and a wide toothed comb before hitting the shower.
  • Once you are in the bath, wet your hair and apply soap all over your scalp (a baby soap is preferable) The scalp needs to be cleaned thoroughly to avoid any aftermath.
  • Wash your head (and rest of the hair) with luke warm water. Don't use hot water even if you are tempted to do so.
  • Now dilute the required amount of shampoo in a mug and apply all over your hair. Then rinse off.
  • You can repeat this process twice or thrice depending how stained your hair is.
  • Now time for deep conditioning. Apply a good coat of conditioner and keep it for 5 minutes.
  • Rinse off and then apply a hair mask and keep it for 10 minutes.
  • Rinse off and towel dry. Do not blow dry. It would make your hair more rough and drier.
  • After two days, make a homemade hair mask with eggs and yogurt and keep it on your hair for 15 minutes before washing it off with a mild/diluted shampoo. Don't forget to deep condition.

So now you know how to nurture that post Holi skin and hair with NEUD Goat milk products.. Do you have any other tips?

'A person who has not travelled the world has only read the cover of the book' said Father Augustine. We all love to travel. Don't we? Travelling is the most popular hobby one would come across. However unlike other hobbies, travel is an expensive passion. But it is also true that travelling is the only investment that makes you richer. Having said that, one needs money to travel; whether it is luxury or budget. The key to easily fulfilling this passion lies in smart savings, which I am going to elaborate below.

We started a separate budget for our world travels ever since we decided to globe trot once a year at least. Saving carefully is the key; whether you plan to travel domestic or international. Having explored 23 countries and almost entire India till date, here I am sharing my smart investment tips with you all so that the budget never becomes a burden.

1. Normal Savings: You can decide a small, specific budget to be set aside every month. It can be as low as 500INR per month which will yield 6000 INR at the end of the year and hence 30,000 INR after 5 years, which can be used for a nice domestic trip. Easy plan but not too viable if you plan to travel frequently. You can cut down on 'unnecessary' expenditures on clothes and fancy coffees for travels.

2. Recurring Deposit: Again you set aside a fixed amount every month for your sojourns. The benefit here is that you get to reap the interest. You can also start separate recurring deposits for different members of the family who wish to travel. The end result is substantial depending on your savings and requirements.

3Mutual Funds: This is an excellent way to invest for travelling and one reaps humungous benefits.

Mutual fund can be explained as a pool of fund that comprises of many investors who put in small deposits of their earnings which are in turn invested in securities like bonds, stocks etc.

SIP or Systematic Investment Plans: SIP is an easy way to achieve life's goals; whether it's planning your child's education or saving for that exotic vacation, building your dream home or plan your retirement.

Depending on what your financial goal is, you can calculate your monthly SIP amount investment.

The power of saving works better when investment is done at an early age.

Now one may think why not opt for EMI instead of investing in  SIP?

In EMI you pay interest while in SIP, you earn interest. So if you plan that holiday earlier, you not only earn through interest but also get good deals on airfares and accommodation; as well as extra time to research and plan for that dream vacation of yours.

Benefits of investing in SIP:

SIP is an investment that can be made by people of all ages. The duration, fund options and amount may vary from one age group to the other but investors of all age groups can enter and gain from SIPs.

SIPs provide you with liquidity i.e you can have access to all or part of your invested funds as and when required. This means that there is no lock-in period i.e no minimum specified period for which you compulsorily have to keep your money invested.
In simple words, SIP:

It leverages the power of saving.
Rupee cost averaging
It is convenient.
It is disciplined investing.
Helps you through market volatility.

Gives you a long term advantage.

An SIP investment can help you save from as little as Rs.500 each month, and it can help you to accumulate an sizable amount over time to reach your goals.

Those looking for investing in Mutual Funds can opt for these types of MF depending how soon you want to go for a vacation.

a. Short Term Fund: These type of funds are ideal if you want to get returns within a year. They generate returns of around 7% per annum. This fund aims for consistency, stability and liquidity by keeping the duration and credit risk low. The Macaulay duration of the portfolio is between 3 to 6 months.

* The Macaulay duration is the weighted average term to maturity of the cash flows from a bond. The weight of each cash flow is determined by dividing the present value of the cash flow by the price.

For the uninitiated, Liquidity means how quickly you can get your hands on your cash.

The objective of this fund is to generate reasonable and stable income and provide liquidity to the unit holder.

So if you are looking for an annual exotic vacation, this may help you.

b. Low Duration Fund: The Macaulay duration of the portfolio is between 3 to 6 months. So you can opt for this for a biannual vacation.

The objective is to generate reasonable returns primarily through investments in fixed income securities and money market instruments.

c. Balanced Advantage Fund: These mutual funds offer annualized returns of up to 9% for a time horizon of three years and have relatively lower risk involved. So it is ideal if you are planning for a grand vacation for a special occasion.

Having summing up everything in a nutshell, people are quite skeptical about mutual funds because of some common myths lurking around. Let me bust some of them for you:

Myths about mutual funds:

1.You need to invest a lot of money. False. You can start as low as 500INR. SIP or Systematic investments plans are the best!

2. Top rated mutual funds are the best. False. Mutual funds are subject to market fluctuations. So if an MF has done well before does not necessarily mean it would do great again. You need to do your research before investing.

3. You need to be an expert to invest. False. You can start at any age. In fact investing at a younger age is more beneficial in the long run because of the longer duration.

You can refer to the Mutual Fund Dictionary to clarify your doubts regarding all the technical terms related to investment.

Always have the habit of reading the scheme related documents before investing to understand the scheme type, investment patterns and the risk factors associated with particular investments and consult your financial advisor to understand the implication of any investment.

I hope I have helped you to some extent in guiding how to invest to travel more. You can head to L&T Mutual Fund for detailed information on investment in mutual funds.

This blog started as a journal to document our travels and personal stories and milestones. Well that was way before even my first daughter was born. So practically, my blog is my first born! Life got overloaded with other priorities and I started writing less. My articles started catering more to what might be helpful to you all; my loyal readers, than what might be a personal documentation. But 10 years of marriage is a huge milestone...Don't you feel? Well I do! So my emotional judgement caught better of me and I decided to write something that would help lot of couples who are contemplating to take the plunge or are going through a difficult phase in their relationships. If you are here only for 'unreal, rosy' anecdotes, then this is not for you because let's get real guys. Life is a mammoth more than what we seen on Instagram or magazines. For those who are new here, I got married to my husband when I was still in college. I said yes to his proposal on our second date (2 weeks of meeting), got engaged within 2 months and then married within 9 months of our first meet! Life is a whirlwind 😁

This article is from my point of view (wife's perspective). I am unsure what my husband has learnt as he is not that articulate in this chapter and he's definitely not going to know what I have learnt because he does not read my blog :D

1. Everyone's love language is different.

We grow up reading all those mushy books and watching Rom coms where the guy always opens the door of the car, brings flowers, gives foot massage, etc etc. However the reality is far from it. Every guy has a different way of expressing his love and my husband is no different. It took me 10 years to understand this. For him loving me isn't getting me roses or helping with household chores or patiently listening to me; he never does these *sigh*  But he loves shooting me on his camera, planning trips for us, getting bagfuls of exotic groceries so that I can whip up something fancy in my kitchen! I know...so different yet this is his way of showing love.

2. Acceptance is the key to peace.

Most of the 'feminists' would bash me for this but believe me, rebelling would not get anywhere; it would only rob you off your peace of mind.  I used to be an obsessively cleanliness freak which led to too much stress in our household. We are polar opposites when it comes to aesthetics and cleanliness. Gradually I learnt not to nag him and do everything myself because that's the most peaceful thing to do. And he has accepted my autonomy in the decor department and cleaning is completely my forte.

3. Don't ever get verbally abusive

Altercations can take an ugly turn but I have never ever used abusive language in our 10 years of marriage and would suggest the same to everyone else. Please treat him with respect; all the time.

4. Be honest with each other all the time; but do not share secrets about people who are not related to him.

Honesty is the best and a non negotiable policy when it comes to each other. But we (girls) should always refrain from sharing our girlfriend's secrets or maternal familial intimate issues that does not concern him because there should always be this line.

5. Adorn your home with beautiful memories

Marriage is full of ups and downs but that's how life is right? You should not get those lows bury you when you are going through a rough patch. I have decorated our walls with stunning travel photographs from our globe trotting adventures and they serve as a daily reminder of the endless priceless memories. Daily reminders are very important. It can be pictures, souvenirs, knick knacks (eg menu from your favourite restaurant), anything that strikes a chord with you and your family.

6. If it does not matter in 5 years, it does not deserve more than 5 minutes of introspection.

The wet towel is on the bed; I know gross. He has forgotten your birthday, insensitive. He does not help you with your household chores; so misogynistic right? These all are fuel for ugly fights but deep down, they are really not going to matter in the future. What matters more is securing a sound financial future, loyality and care for each other. These should be non negotiable.

7. Don't drag the family in  your marriage

I can sense the contradiction even while I am typing this because it's so obvious in Indian households. My lawyer friend tells me that 70% of Indian marriages break up because of family interference. In India, the girl gets married to the entire family and is supposed to take care of everyone; which again gives rise to innumerable feuds.

Don't spoil your relationship with your spouse because of his family. Compartmentalise. Turn a blind eye and deaf ear. If you are in charge of taking care of all (I know, it's very taxing) try and coax your husband to pamper you, listen to you in return. Vent out in journals; but don't poison your marriage because of his family.

8. Celebrate small things.

Most people tend to associate celebrations with squandering but it's so not true. Celebration can be done inside your home most of the times. Order something delicious or cook a fancy meal, elevate your decor, get some of your favourite drinks and turn on the music. Set some rituals of your own. Start new traditions.

9. Say I Love You often

These are magical words which melt me even when I am at the peak of my rage. I have learnt to say these three words without any reason; because there should not be any; to blurt them out. I say them to my husband and my girls; multiple times a day. Believe me, it makes ME happier too.

10. The harshest but an honestly bitter truth is that if you love yourself way too much, DON'T EVER GET MARRIED. Because my dear unmarried fellas and fellows, marriage is ALL ABOUT GIVING AND COMPROMISE and one is really not left with much time/energy with loving your own self.

There are myriads of other things that I have learnt but I thought of sharing these ones with young couples or couples who are going through a rough patch. Marriage is never easy. The last year has particularly been a Herculean task for all the families out there. But in the end, marriage is EVERYTHING.

So for our 10 th anniversary, we took a small staycation in a five star property in Gurgaon and my husband gifted me the diamond ring of my dreams to immortalize this decade(and erase all the unsweet events 💁☺👭). Also got a sparkling platinum set from my parents (fully pampered). I am not talking about materialism here. But these are priceless memories which I will cherish forever. I even plan to print some family pictures from this getaway so that I can look back and smile whenever I feel low.

Forever grateful for this tiny world of ours.

Title: Finding your way: How to navigate yourself back from Depression, Personal crisis & Life's mistakes

Author: Drake Taylor

Genre: Self Help, Motivation

Pages: 156,quick read

God help those who help themselves. I have found this to be true always and when I am feeling really low, this sentence is my motivation to move ahead. I was going through the most difficult phase of my life when my friend Vandana sent me this book on the mail. It's strange that she had no idea what I was going through and magically a much needed, easy read book landed up to be read when I needed it the most. It definitely has put me in a better headspace and therefore you would find it useful too.

This book has been penned down  by the author when he was going through the darkest phases of his life. He was almost on the verge of ending his life; therefore he can easily relate to what people in tough phases are going through. He has talked in the book like a friend and mentor would. It's imperative that you follow the exercises that he has mentioned in every chapter.

My best takeaways from this book:

Everything you want out of life, lies with that first step of getting out of bed each day. Each day you stay in bed, you slowly killing your dreams or put them further out of your reach.

Our mindset determines how each and every one of us live our life.

Forgiveness isn't merely to allow the other person to move on from wrongdoing. It is to allow you freedom from hanging on to negative emotions, so you can live your best life.

Holding onto hate is like holding onto a hot coal; the only person you burn is you.

What I loved all the more in this book: Appendices.

The appendices can be considered a solution in a nutshell. There are 7; (from A to G) and constitute

A: Self Reflection Questions: The first chapter motivates us to answer these questions honestly; because there is no way out in lying. After answering these honestly then only it would be beneficial to move forward in reading because it would become clearer on which aspects do we need to work on ourselves.

B: Importance of reading and Suggested Reading List: It's undeniable that we need to read to motivate and keep pushing ourselves.

C: Workout routine: I can't stress the fact enough that exercise is the world's most underrated anti depressant. Working out or even moving the body releases endorphins into our blood stream; which makes us feel good. I constantly motivate my patients to workout daily but when it comes to myself, I am unable tp practice it because of lack of time, energy and privacy. I so want to change this.

D: Dietary Suggestion: Some healthy meal plans

E: Road Map. This is so very important. You got to have your life planned out. Make a list of your goals wrt Money, Home, Lifestyle changes, personal relationships, Fitness, education, job, career, travel, parents, children, passion and the list goes on.

You can jot them down under the following headers:

Name of goal

Current status of goal

Course correction or New Projected Goal

Steps to get there

Milestones and Deadlines

eg Task 1    Accomplish by

F: Planning Calender :.It's so important to have a schedule. Your goals have to SMART:  Smart: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time Bound.

Everything should follow a pattern and calender would remind you.

G: Inspirational quotes when you need strength. Reading these quotes time and again definitely clears and freshens my mind.

I definitely suggest reading this book; even if you are in a content state of mind because there are so many more things to learn.

Weight is one attribute that we all might have struggled at one point of life or the other. And we all women crave for that perfect booty. Although weight is pretty flexible (in the sense that height cannot be changed after a certain age) losing weight becomes tougher as age increases. In order to know about weight loss or heavy butts, it's important to discuss why does one become overweight in the very first place. I am talking about adult obesity/overweight here.

1. Constitution: Some people are overweight right from childhood. Usually they have parents who are broad boned and overweight too. Not much can be done in this case as this is 'normal'. Pear shaped bodies have heavier butts.

2. Underlying disease: Many systemic disorders cause increase in weight. In girls, the commonest is hypothyroidism i.e lack of Thyroid hormone and increased Thyroid Stimulating Hormone which causes slowing down of metabolism and hence weight gain. The second commonest in girls is Polycystic Ovarian Disease or PCOD. Other diseases can be Cushing's syndrome, Insulin resistance (leading to accumulation of fat in body), Prader Willi syndrome etc etc.
3. Faulty diet: Overeating or indulging in too much junk food on a regular basis can cause drastic increase in weight. This is commoner in the affluent society because of unhealthy eating practices. So when does one gain weight from eating? When the calorie intake exceeds the calories burnt, the extra calories keep on accumulating and finally turn into fat deposits. Unhealthy eating habits like taking too much oily food, diet loaded with sugar, etc also lead to weight gain and accumulates in the buttocks region.

4. Sedentary habit: Our body needs to be moving to boost metabolism. Also we should keep on taking multiple breaks in our daily schedule to shake our circulation time and again. Some people are sedentary due to multiple reasons: they have a sitting job, knee problem or other joint problems that don't permit to move around, any surgery or injury that restricts movement or plain laziness...all these factors lead to weight gain.

5. Post natal stage: Again one of the commonest in females. During pregnancy, a female's body undergoes through a lot of hormonal changes so the new mom finds it quite challenging to lose the baby weight. Coupled with physical restrictions, lack of time and increased calorie requirement for breastfeeding, it is an uphill task to lose the baby weight.

Now how to get the toned lower half? There are many ways to do so but you should always opt for means that are natural, healthy and long lasting. I mean you can lose hundreds of grams from a sauna session but that isn't permanent! It's just water weight. So here I am enumerating a few healthy ways to tone your lower half which would last.

1. Healthy diet: Well the hard truth is weight loss/maintenance is 80% diet and 20% exercise. I know...how terrible does this sound especially for foodies like me? The fact is that in order to lose weight, one has to burn more calories than what is consumed. So it's easier to consume lesser calories than trying to burn out hundreds of them. It's not even feasible. Avoid sugar, too much salt, oily food and restrict carbs. Although one should definitely consult a dietitian before taking the plunge as dietary requirements are different for everyone. A feeding mom trying to lose baby weight needs a different approach altogether from a man who is suffering from Type 2 Diabetes.
 2. Exercise: As cliched as it may sound, exercise is fundamental in reducing weight. It can be yoga, gymming, swimming or even brisk walking. You need to burn those stubborn fat... ain't it? Also regular exercise helps to maintain the lost weight too and also protects us from various diseases. And that endorphin rush? The high which you get can match no other happiness. But always remember to consult your doctor before starting any regime.

3. Medicine: There are hundreds of medicines in the market that 'claim' to reduce weight/firm body/tone butts...but how effective/safe are they?

4. External Applications: What if we don't have time for exercise and need an easy and quick fix?
Well our prayers have been answered as the renowned brand Namyaa is here with their revolutionary Brazilian Bum cream.

Travelling is soothing for the soul but taxing for the body, especially your skin. The changed environment, different microbial flora (changes every place) , dry air of airplanes (especially if you are on a long flight), general adventure nature of the trip and so many other factors have an adverse effect on our skin in one way or the other. However if we are careful and take care of our skin diligently, we are able to indulge in our trip without having to worry about breakouts and all! Hence following a healthy skincare routine (Ayurvedic face wash, SPF, adequate moisturising etc) is a mandate. So here I am presenting a cheat sheet which would make our skin not only fuss free but healthier too!

1. Don't forget to wash your face!

We often are too tired at the end of the day (especially after a long day of exploration) to wash our face and go to sleep without washing our face. This leads to accumulation of dirt and dust and grime on our face ; which our skin readily absorbs during sleeping. Not to forget the caking up of make up that we slather on before any excursion. It's not called 'Beauty Sleep' without any reason. Our skin heals during those hours and it is our duty to nourish it as much as possible.

I highly recommend a natural face wash for the same; as natural products are devoid of harmful chemicals and stuff. I personally rely on an Ayurvedic face wash like the Vicco Turmeric Face wash. Turmeric is a natural antiseptic and an anti oxidant and plays a massive role in preventing acne and black heads.  This Ayurvedic face wash with foam base is my favourite. It leaves my skin glowing and has such a pleasant fragrance!  Also it helps to cure minor wounds and heals them, treats minor cuts and small injuries as well. Removes microbes and pollutants from the innermost pores leaving the skin fresh & tingling. I particularly love the fact that it is vegan and cruelty free.

Similarly when we take a shower in the morning, it is important to incorporate a face wash before we step out of the hot shower. A clear face glows more beautifully and also takes up make up more efficiently.

2. Hydrate. I can't stress on this point enough. Our skin needs water to drink more than we do (yes we consume in various other forms like drinks, fruits, etc) while our skin gets water from the glasses we chug down.

3. Cut down on alcohol and caffeinated drinks. We all love to indulge on a trip but we want perfect pictures for our albums too. So restrict your alcohol intake to one drink per day or just avoid it completely. Don't drink too much caffeine, it can lead to breakout.

4. Don't forget your greens on a trip. We all love to experience local cuisine but we should reserve one meal for healthy food. The easiest way to do this is to have a big plate of salad and a fruit at one time of the day.

5. Don't forget sun protection. Irrespective of the weather, you have to slather on SPF on all your exposed body parts and reapply it every four hours. Also carry a wide brim hat, sunglasses and scarf with you when you are visiting a sunny destination.

6. Don't forget your supplements! Correct nutrition may be unachievable during a trip (who's complaining anyway). So if you pop a vitamin everyday, you don't have to worry about your skin or hair!

After exploring 23 countries of different terrains so far, these are the tips that I have collected and happily pass them on to my readers and patients.  Do let me know if you want to add more!
