Triveni Ethnic Meet

by - 11/14/2016

This month is just flying by! Soon this year is going to be over. November is so packed for me that I can hardly feel this month. My social calender is full with weddings (that too of school friends), events and parties. No, I am not complaining! In fact I am loving it! The only downside is that I am left with a pile of clothes and accessories to arrange at the end of everyday 😅

Last Saturday I had two commitments. My school friend was getting married and there was Triveni Ethnic Meet. I had to choose between the two since the wedding was an afternoon one. Triveni sarees must not be a new name for you. Yes, I am its Brand Ambassador! The last meet was in January.  So how could I possibly miss going to the event of my favourite ethnic wear brand and that too when I endorse it? So I decided to ditch the wedding!

The meet was divided into three slots so that it could be easier to deal with the draping of sarees hands on and one on one discussion too. I chose the afternoon slot.

Like the previous time, we were introduced to the latest collection of Triveni Ethnic Wear. The products were mesmerisingly  beautiful and so were the catalogs ( I mean the models and styling). I flipped through page after page, in awe of the beauty of the Indian Ethnic Wear.

Then the discussion started with how sarees are actually made. What is the starting material. Well of course its the yarn which in turn is obtained from cotton or silk or polyester. Then we talked about how Triveni is striving to re establish saree as the corporate garment or simply how beautiful the saree is. They are doing various Ambassador programs, Campus programs, Corporate tie ups, etc etc. Then there is the dare to dare Challenge which has been inspired by the Ice bucket challenge and The Hundred saree Pact. I had taken part in The Dare To Drape Challenge few months back and had loved every moment of it. You can see my drapes here.

Then was the most enjoyable part of the afternoon...Saree Draping! We picked a Saree of our own choice and draped it according to our wish. Since I was a Dare To Drape participant, I showed various saree draped to all the fellow saree enthusiasts.

Loads of beautiful sarees waiting to be graced by us!
We got to keep the pretty sarees which we chose. So it was a fun filled afternoon of sarees and laughter over coffee!
