Sitabani Temple – Sitabani Temple is dedicated to Goddess Sita. According to folklore, it is said that Sita stayed here during her agnipariksha. The temple is located 20 km from Ramnagar and is easily reachable by road. If you are travelling with family, it is best to hire a cab and enjoy the pleasant drive. A grand mela held during Ramnavami offers a spectacular way of experiencing the glory of Ram and Sita. Devotees from all over India flock here to pray for the well-being of their loved ones.
Devidhura Temple, Champawat – The tale of the ‘Temple Tiger’ which is often spoken of at Jim Corbett National Park has its origins in the Devidhura temple complex. It is located inside the forest and adds to the calm vibes experienced around this place. But it’s not just an activity for the pious; adventure junkies too can trek here.
The Barahi Devi within is famous for hosting a ritual called Bagwal during Raksha Bandhan. During this festival, people throw stones at each other while dancing and singing.
