BEL AIRE RESORT, PHUKET
After I wrote about patong, I came up with the idea that I should come up with a post on our hotel too...prequels are my forte..remember?? :D :D
When it comes to planning a vacation, the first thing you do is book the air tickets and then start looking for a nice place to stay before you apply for visa et al. Hotel hunting on the web is a favourite job of me as well as my husband, we spend hours doing so!! :D Well our phuket trip was planned by our tour agent D Pauls, so we did not research that much on hotels as we usually do. They gave us a couple of options and we chose Bel aire resort.
There were times when I used to prefer 5star hotels and spend a bomb on them. But now, I have outgrown that habit. After all, for how much time does a real traveller stay inside the hotel room?? One needs a room only to retire at night, practically. Bathing and breakfast are also important things I know..:D So since I have become 'mature' I have started choosing hotels for their swimming pools or jacuzzi (you all know how much I love water) and a lavish breakfast for me. 3 or 4star hotels with such amenities do great for both of us.
After we checked into Bel aire, it turned out to be more than our expectations!! It was indeed very nice!!
It was really a wonderful experience staying here!!
TRAVEL TIP:
1. Online booking of hotels give you much better deals like by hotels.com or expedia
2.Make sure you carry all the required documents in xerox too to avoid inconvenience in case if anything is lost.
3.This resort supplied bottles of drinking water everyday complimentary.
