Which water purifier should you use?

Water is synonymous to life. At least here in India. The reason I am saying this is because we associate water with life saving, hospitality, courtesy, etc etc. Unlike in the West where people accompany their meals with either beer or wine or milk (kids). If a guest or anyone as such arrives at our home, a glass of water is the first thing we offer. On a hot day, water infuses a new lease of life into our scorched bodies. However potable water is not as easily available as we need it. As water is essential to our lives, so it is for millions of microbes! If you drink contaminated water, you can fall prey to hundreds of water borne diseases like typhoid or cholera.

In India, tap water is not potable. I just love travelling to countries where I don't have to spend a dime on packaged water. I just wish in India we could have potable tap water too. But leave potable, at most of the places tap water is so hard that its not even fit for washing hair. Gone are the days when just boiling water, to make it suitable for drinking would just do. Boiling only kills the microbes. What about the total dissolved salts in places like Delhi Gurgaon where water is very hard? We need to understand the nature of water supplied at that particular place and choose our water purifier judiciously. Now the question is, which is the best water purifier for you?

There are various options to choose from if you differ water purifiers by their purification technology. Reverse Osmosis, Ultra Violet Rays Filter, Ultra Filtration are some of the best methods to purify drinking water. All you need to do is choose the best water purifier that fulfills these responsibilities thoroughly and help you live a healthy life.
RO Water Purifier: This type of purifier uses the method of Reverse Osmosis for purifying water. There is a semipermeable membrane that filters out the finest of impurities like microbes or heavy metals or pesticides. This technology is considered to be one of the best for purifying water.

UV Water Purifiers: As the name suggests, this type of water purifier uses Ultra Violet rays for decontamination of water. It removes disease causing microbes, pesticides and other germs.

Gravity Water Purifiers: This is a very economical and environment friendly way of purifying water because it does not use electricity. Instead this uses active carbon technology to remove harmful microbes and chemicals to yield pure drinking water.

Now that we have thrown some light on the various types of water purifiers, have you zeroed down as to which is the best for your family?
