I had big plans for the weekend. Hubby was free (at least for the day) and so it was the perfect opportunity to exploit him :D However, things did not go as I had planned to. It started pouring heavily in the noon and therefore a day trip in the downpour was meaningless. I hate the mud and the water logging ; but even if they are overlooked, one cannot click pictures in the rains!! So what is the point of going out?? :D
As the afternoon approached, the showers came to a halt. It was too late to leave for my desired destination, and it was a waste to spend the rest of the day indoors in such gorgeous weather. The sun was mild; just perfect for photos and a cool breeze was blowing. I was standing sulking in my bedroom balcony when hubby came and asked me to get dressed. He said he was taking me to a sundial; supposedly established as the most perfect sundial in the world. I have been to sundials before (the famous jantar mantar) and loved the idea. I would have hated to waste the rest of the day.
One more surprise...shock rather. He did not feel like driving so he took me by bus. He wanted me to give me 'a true traveller feeling' :D Everything was alright until we deboarded at the stop which we thought to be the right one. And lo!! it involved around 2.5 km walking from there!! By the time we reached the sundial park, I was drenched in my own perspiration, tired and irritated. How do you expect to get good pictures when you are tired?? Well, thats none of his business :D However I really enjoyed my roaming around in the park. Although the sun was already going down, so no chance of any calculation with the sundial (as if i know how to use it ). After all my day turned out to be quite an astronomical evening :)
I wore:
top: guilty jeans
pants: from Varanasi
sandals: from bangkok
sunnies: D n G
clutch: aldo

complete with its description... |
some kind of weird editing hubby did :D |
the sun behind the clouds... |
my wish was to get a picture with the speeding cars!! |
the whole park with the circular flyover surrounding it... |
my never ending love for nature... |

I'm glad you took a pic of the sundial. I have never seen one. You look super lovely. Isn't it great that you wore flats. 2.5km with high heels would have been pretty bad.
