SENTOSA.....ASIA'S favourite playground....
Asia's favourite playground...this is how sentosa island is described. Well this place lives upto its slogan!! When I visited sentosa, Universal studio, Singapore was not complete. It was good though, as it meant a day less of our trip. We were on a very tight schedule of 10 days in Singapore and Malaysia and Universal studios meant either extending a day more or fretting about missing it :) Well Singapore was a delight but the place where we all went back to childhood was Sentosa Island. It was one full day of thrilling experiences!!
We had taken a full day pass of Sentosa Island which included almost everything. You can choose from a number of options but a full day pass is the best and the most economic :) From insect kingdom to bird park, 4D movie experience, underwater world, dolphin show every event was fantabulous!! But the most thrilling were Luge ride and skyride!! Even my timid mother (who is always fleeing from anything too adventurous), had a helluva of an experience!! Unfortunately, we were so engrossed with the fun that we dont have any pictures of Luge and skyride. You can get an idea here.
The concluding and the best of the evening was the award winning Songs of the sea. This show has been winning the best laser show award in the world since its inception. It was one of the most beautiful things I had ever seen till that time and its even more enchanting than the Dubai Fountains!!
Our tour bus dropped us the entry of the island. From there we were supposed to take the island's own bus. There are various bus stops and different routes, depending which activity you want to indulge in. Of course the bus rides are included in your passes :) Our guide warned us strictly not to deviate from our group as we were doomed to get lost on doing so!! However at the last event, songs of the Sea, when it was too dark and crowded, the whole group had dispersed and it was indeed a Herculean task to get us all together to board our bus!! My word of advice- Dont ever get separated from your guide!! :)
Unfortunately I have way fewer pictures than the activities I indulged in; as I was having more fun without worrying about getting clicked!! Anyways is not our brain the largest album ever?? ;)
