A NIGHT BY THE GANGES....
The invention of wheel changed the lifestyle of mankind by leaps and bounds. Well I was talking about hundreds of thousand years back!!! :D Now what truly concerns me with the wheel is movement!! The wheel to me denotes traveling!! :D
It is blazing right now in Delhi..46 degrees!! Lord save us. Ever wondered why God has created this earth with so much varied landscapes and terrains?? To escape the adversities of nature!! God has given us the option to flee to the hills to beat the heat or hit the beach to brave the cold. I take it as a sign from God and that is why I drove to the Himalayas this weekend. Though it was bright and sunny in Rishikesh, I got the much needed break from city life if not for the heat.
As I had stated earlier, Rishikesh is a beautiful place in the cradle of Himalayas with the Ganges piercing it through. Since Uttarakhand has been declared a separate state, it has been progressing exponentially. Tourism has got a huge boom along with other things. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has opened its second branch here and my sister in law and her hubby have been appointed doctors in this prestigious organization. So now I have loads of reasons to go up to rishikesh.
We left from Anand vihar on Saturday morning. Hubby was in no mood for driving that is why we had to take the bus. After a bus ride of 7 hours, we finally got to see Didi.
It was already dark when we reached there, so after a quick bath, didi took us for dinner in an amazing restaurant 'hotel ganga kinare'meaning by the river side of ganga.
