PANDANON ISLAND, Philippines

by - January 11, 2014

I am not at all a winter person. In fact I hate winters so much that if possible I would leave Delhi and shift to somewhere pleasant during the winter months. I donot know how my American and European friends survive the snowy winters!! :D
Anyways, as I huddle up in a blanket with a cup of hot chocolate in my hands, I am lost in the memories of the sunny vacations that I had last year.
As I said here, our anniversary trip last year was one of the best in my life so far. Out of the 7200 islands in the Philippine archipelago, we had the privilege to visit only eight of them. On the last day of our trip we went for an island hopping tour in which we visited 3 islands. One of them , Pandanon Island, was indeed paradise on earth.
We had our very own ‘banca’ i.e what boats are called in Philippines which took us to a private island. We sun bathed, swam, snorkeled and played around. We had our very own cottage and our guide prepared fresh lunch for us. I made it clear that my husband does not eat meat or fish ; and I donot take beef. I almost committed a s serious sin when I tasted beef here ( flight crew fault ). Our guide grilled fresh fish, squid and chicken for me while my husband munched on stir fried vegetables like a goat!! :D
Its one sojourn that I would never forget in my life!!
