INDIBLOGGER MEET AT LE MERIDIEN
Its been about 10 months that I have been blogging. This blog is my baby, its my favourite hobby. I have never tried to join groups or communities which help in promoting one's blog. Not that I dislike socialising; I love making friends, but simply I dont have time that requires to be active on various social media. My husband on the other hand is an infrequent blogger but very active on all sorts of communities. One fine day he signed my blog for Indiblogger, India's largest blogging community without even my knowledge. I was indifferent but little I knew that joining this community would give me my first real feeling of being a blogger!!
Yesterday was Skyscanner Indibloggers Meet at Le Meridien, New Delhi. I got the mail about a fortnight back asking to register for the event if interested. This being an immense opportunity to interact with other delhi bloggers, I immediately signed up for it. And yesterday, this event turned out even bigger than my expectations!!
This meet was sponsored by Skyscanner, an European travel company. The event commenced with a scrumptious lunch buffet to be followed by various interactive sessions. There were lots of twitter contests; silly and full of fun. About 500 Delhi bloggers had turned up for the event. I got to interact with a lot of people. Additionally, lots of goodies were distributed as part of the little contests (read Toshiba pen drives). At 4, it was time for high tea. After that was the most interesting part of the meet: sharing one's travel experiences. I narrated my love for travelling and how my Philippines odyssey inspired me to start my own blog. It was enlightening to hear other traveler's experiences.
This awesome 4 hour event was concluded by crazy group photograph sessions, each one of us was fighting to get into the frame :D Lastly, we were given two tee shirts and a small backpack as return gifts!! It was simply an amazing experience!!
The best part of this meet was that I felt myself like a REAL BLOGGER!!
