I guess thriller is a favourite genre for bibliophiles, even for those who are ocassional readers. Suspense stories let our imagination run wild, cause a shiver down the spine and give us goosebumps. I have always been and forever will be a fan of thrillers. Having said that, there was more than one reason to be excited for this book of thrillers.

Firstly, as I said, it's a compilation of suspense stories. Secondly, it has been curated by Blogchatter, my favourite community of bloggers, writers and readers alike. But most importantly, it has been written by my blogger friends themselves. Seeing them don the hats of thriller wordsmith was nothing less than exhilarating , because believe me, writing mysteries is an uphill task. Fifteen bloggers joined hands to compile this anthology, out of which I personally know many of them. And it was more than a treat to read their wild compositions.

First verdict: this book is not for the faint hearted. It's scary, gory and depressing at times. The more imaginative you are, the more horror you will experience. You think of any of your nightmares or the most dreaded stuff, you will find it here. From ghosts to psychotic murderers, psychiatric patients to superstitious people. this book has it all. The only common thing underlying in all these 15 stories is that you would be guessing the inference till the end.

Every story manages to sustain the suspense till the very end. I was literally in shock after reading the first story. I had studied about post partum psychosis but never could have imagined to what extent it could be woven into a story. Similarly, the level of violence imagined when a person falls into a huge cauldron of boiling oil. Or a person who is fond of fingerprints soaked in blood!

The most thrilling part of all these stories are the realistic scenarios. Each and every setting can happen in anyone's life, And that makes it scary yet relatable.

Overall, a fantastic compilation of stories. Loved every single word and I am truly blessed to be a part of this talented community.
